She started to sing around the Quad City area at fairs, festivals, pageants, weddings, and community events, anywhere that allowed her to sing. She even won two scholarship pageant titles. She was Little Miss Blackhawk Valley 1999 and Junior Miss Blackhawk Valley 2003. Kodi was asked to perform a song at the Wisconsin Horse Fair when she was 10. Tyler Kargl
Vocals / Guitar
Tyler Kargl, 20, picked up a guitar in junior high as a hobby, and dropped it for six months after that. He picked it back up in 8th grade and hasn’t set it down since. He has been in a couple of bands, yet, no matter the band, drummer and best friend, Todd Rolfs has been rocking the beats to every show he’s played. It’s easy to practice and
play together when you live across the street from each other for 17 years. While performing in his second band, Tyler picked up an uncanny knack for songwriting, both music and lyrics, to many originals of his own. He brings his writing talents to Boothill Ridge, his third band, writing the hit songs “Don’t Worry”, “Ode to Parents” and “The Fighting Song”. Although very versatile in songwriting, his voice also has a range in style. Singing in junior high and high school choir for 6 years, the high point of his career was making the Illinois IMEA All-State Honor’s Choir; scoring the highest as a Bass I placed him 1st Chair and number one Bass I in the state of IL. Having played in rock bands in the past, Tyler says that “Country is definitely going to be my career. It’s a lot of fun; especially with these guys.” Not to mention he happens to be married to lead singer Kodi Lynn.
Dusty
Vocals / Bass
Dusty, 24, has lived most of his life in front of a crowd! His first performance on stage was when he was four as a member of the New Frontier – his parents’ country line- dancing team. Once he got into high school he joined many music oriented groups. He joined the school’s renowned show choir and also the choir. At the age of twenty he joined his sister in singing a duet at a county talent contest and won! After a couple of year’s hiatus, Dusty picked up a bass guitar and started practicing for five hours every day. After talking it over with his sister, Kodi Lynn, they decided to put a band together. They felt that Tyler Kargl’s songwriting and guitar playing skills combined with Todd Rolf’s technical drumming and Seth Griffin’s flair for the guitar were ingredients to make a great band. Dusty recently took up songwriting and brought “Grandpa’s Song” and “5 Miles to Fame” to the song lineup. As well as songwriting, Dusty also has a passion for custom guitars and a flashy form of showmanship.

1994. He started lessons soon after with his skilled guitar teacher Arlene Bolis of Rock Island.
